Installation Method
- Prepare the wall and the product (clean with a slightly damp cloth).
- Install the support onto the wall (use three dowels so that they extend more than half the thickness of the product) or use another method.
- Apply Kley plaster adhesive on the back along the top and bottom edges of the molding with a depth not exceeding 2-3 cm. (Applying it all over is mostly unnecessary since it is difficult to dry without air access.) Kley plaster adhesive is based on the same material as the coating. After drying, it will form a single unit with the coating and can maintain its finish even if the foam is completely destroyed (e.g., in case of fire, the foam does not burn but evaporates).
- For items over 20 cm in size, use foam adhesive on the bottom strip, Kley plaster adhesive about 3 cm on the top, and along the sides of the molding. It is not necessary to apply foam adhesive on the back bottom part, so water can drain out if it accidentally enters between the wall and the product. Watch video.
- Wait for the foam adhesive to be ready for about 2-3 minutes (refer to usage instructions; we recommend using Soudabond Easy foam adhesive), then press the product against the wall in the prepared position. It may be slightly higher initially, then level it down (it cannot be raised after setting!). Hold for 1-2 minutes. Watch video.
- After about 10 minutes, remove any excess Kley plaster adhesive protruding from beneath the product while sealing the upper and lower joints at the same time. Cut off any excess foam adhesive on the sides with a knife.
- Before installing the next molding, wait 2-3 minutes and apply foam adhesive along the perimeter of the already installed product to dry, ensuring it protrudes along the entire joint perimeter.
- After drying, cut off any excess foam adhesive to create a V-shaped groove, which must be filled with Kley plaster adhesive. Once dry, sand it with sandpaper. The top of the joint can be sealed with sealant.
- Seal all joints (for vertical moldings) at the top and sides of the product with flexible sealant.
- If the product is damaged during installation, repair it using foam adhesive and coat it with Kley plaster adhesive.
- Prime and paint only when the product is completely dry using flexible water-based acrylic paint. We recommend priming the top of the molding with ROOFSEAL.
Rainy Season
- Store the product in a dry place.
- Perform installation in dry weather or under permanent protection from direct rain on the installed product.
- If moisture cannot be avoided before sealing all joints, use foam adhesive or sealant (construction adhesive) instead of Kley plaster adhesive.
- Do not allow water to enter between the product and the wall.
